SRI International Student Support Fund

The SRI International Student Support Fund has been launched for those students experiencing exceptional hardship as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Completion and submission of below form will enable an evaluation of your individual situation and upon approval, support will be provided to you.

What is the SRI International Student Support Fund

  • Provide support to international students that is equitable, consistent and logistically feasible;
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting and caring for our international student community who are most in need,
  • Is a responsive and efficient solution
  • Works with students on a case by case basis to understand their requirements for support including; Academic, financial, health and wellbeing
  • Investigate further, support and referral options available for our students through the wider community.

The support categories relate to:

  • Accommodation support
  • Access to Food Vouchers
  • Access to prepared meals

Am I eligible?

If all of the below statements describe you and your current situation, you are eligible to apply:

  • I am an International Student currently enrolled at Sarina Russo Institute and studying Onshore
  • I am in need of financial support as a result of COVID-19 · I do not currently receive any financial support from the Australian Government including, but not limited to, Centrelink payments, JobKeeper and JobSeeker.
  • I attended face-to-face teaching before the move to online learning.
  • I am not receiving a scholarship or stipend that is covering my ongoing living expenses.
  • I can show evidence of changes to my financial position, such as two months of bank statements, as confirmation of my income and expenses.
  • I have an Australian bank account.

How do I apply?

Step one: Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria listed above.
Step two: Complete the online application form.

What documentation will I need to apply?

Depending on your situation, you will need provide supporting documentation. This could include, but not limited to:

  • Evidence of active enrolment
  • A list of bank transactions from your bank account from the 1st of March 2020 to the current date
  • Evidence of eviction eg An Eviction Notice (if applicable).
  • If you rent or board, proof that you are residing independently or co sharing (e.g. proof of your rental payments)
  • Evidence that shows a loss of employment or reduction in work hours – Self, partner or supporting parents (if applicable)
  • Your bank details
