Discovery is an online learning program that is delivered through 3 interactive modules; Road Map, Luggage and Vehicle. Through the provision of career coaching information, participants will gain an understanding of the knowledge and skills required to gain meaningful and lasting employment.

Road Map
This module looks at your career direction. Through identification of your interests, skills and experience, this module helps you to determine your future career destination and how you are going to get there.
Module Objective
To effectively implement a career planning tool, this can be achieved by clearly identifying the career / jobs you want to target and using goal setting and action planning processes.
By the end of this module you will be able to:
- Name at least 5 job roles that suit your personality and interests.
- Describe what a S.M.A.R.T. goal is, and create a minimum of two S.M.A.R.T. goals that relate to the job roles you are seeking.
- Produce an action plan connected to each written goal, with detailed steps to follow with immediate action required.
Luggage
This module looks at skills and resources you need to succeed in pursuing your career. Items like resume, cover letter and interview skills are essential to ensure you arrive at your career destination.
Module Objective
Effectively generate a suite of professional resources to support your job search efforts. By understanding how to market yourself to employers, you will be able to write targeted resumes and cover letters and manage your personal brand in interviews and through use social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
By the end of this module you will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of personal brand, as evidenced by the creation of a personal sales pitch.
- Demonstrated understanding of targeted resumes that are industry specific and cover letters that are job specific, proven by the development of one resume and one cover letter.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how to establish a LinkedIn profile and use this tool as part of the Job Search Strategy Network. This will be evidenced by the establishment of a LinkedIn profile.
- Demonstrate understanding of how to appropriately prepare for and behave in interviews.
Vehicle

Module Objective
To equip you with the most effective job search strategies for today’s market. This module will guide you through a targeted Job Search Strategy that focuses primarily on structured networking as the most effective strategy.
By the end of this module you will be able to:
- Diagnose your current job search strategy. Where might you be going wrong?
- Understand how to access the hidden job market through strategic networking.
