What do you like most about teaching English?
I love teaching English to international students because it widens my world and introduces me to so many different points-of-view.  I also enjoy sharing my culture and country with students who are here to travel and work.

I studied the teaching of English as a Second Language (ESL) as part of my DipEd in 1981, following a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Asian Studies at Griffith University. I also have a Bachelor in Education Studies from Queensland University of Technology.

How long have you been teaching English?
I have been teaching ESL for more than 35 years; going back to my first stint at Wacol Migrant Hostel, which no longer exists! I have taught ESL in Japan and Australia, in high schools, factories, English language colleges, and private businesses.
